MENTAL COHERENCE

As part of the world’s constitution the social sciences play important roles that govern our existence as well as other sciences. The age of enlightenment has forgone different kinds of revolution from industrial; British, French and American just to mention a few.
The various fields of study have immensely sharpened our world, thanks to various revolutions and experiments, Thanks be to the omniscience one for inspiring the founding fathers such as Wilhelm Maximilian Wundt, Auguste Comte, karl Marx, Max Weber, Emile Durkheim, Sigmund Freud, Carl Jung, Gordon Allport,  Cesare Beccaria , Charles Darwin the list is enormous to continue.

I acknowledge there has been a lot of a debate regarding some theories and issues but still their impacts have been felt in numerous ways. (I like to bypass those theory issues for now).
My areas of interest include criminology,  psychology and most importantly sociology.

Sociology is simply the study of society various empirical investigations and critical analysis have been used to develop composite knowledge about the social activities of humans.
Psychology on the other hand is the study of the mind and behaviour, the main objective is to understand individuals in the society, for example motivation, personality, brain function and so on.
Looking back at the past from elementary school through to high school I could only imagine the impact a single course would affect an entire people. Back in high school in Nigeria the perquisites you needed to obtain admission into higher education were English, Mathematics and subjects that were relevant to your intended course. Six years of intensive study in these compulsory subjects, I remember having issues with mathematics, I really had no choice but to study for it regardless of my lack of interest in it.In some parts of the western world as time changed there has been an extensive field of subject areas to choose from.

Imagine where Psychology or sociology where made compulsory to be taught on the elementary level?. Think about it for a minute, I know how fascinating these fields of studies are, Imagine how so many issues would have been solved by simply understanding personality types and traits or unraveling the social structure and individual agency in sociology. Beginning to think about the different sub-branches I can imagine if we simply laid foundations in these areas from an early start, a lot of issues would have been issues handled properly or mishaps avoided.
I guess what I am implying is that social science is as a important pure science without social science we will never truly understand the world and humans.
